Designs I'd want to wear
Bad Penny has one objective: to create awesome graphic tees that I'd want to wear. It started simply enough. Ever since I was a kid going to the local air show, I've admired everything about aircraft nose art - its message, style and purpose. I had always been an admirer of pin up art, but nose art, especially those with pin ups in the artwork, had, to me, an even great depth of cool.
After buying a lot of nose art books and doing a lot of research on the subject, I created an account with a make-your-own t-shirt website online and started putting high quality nose art designs on various apparel, thinking I'd be the only buyer. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that many others shared my love of nose art, and my shirt designs started selling.
I created this site to show my hobby - creating high quality recreations and original designs of military nose art, pin ups, and other themes that I want to celebrate, like barbecuing, video games and general geekdom.
